Dave Pafford
Executive Director
Dave Pafford is an accomplished ministry and business professional with years of administration, project coordination and leadership development in multiple states. Mr. Pafford is a salutatorian graduate of North Central University where he also served in student leadership as a Relations Director and Student Body President in 2004. He received a Menlo Park/ John Ortberg Scholarship, attended Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA and holds a Masters in Theology. Dave also holds an M.B.A. from William Woods University. Along with being a Provost for the SEU Ohio Network Campus, Dave serves as the Director of Leader Development and Network Secretary for the Ohio Ministry Network.
Mary Harmison
Academic and Admissions Director
Mary Harmison is an outstanding administrator, joining SEU ONC after a season at Ohio University managing grant projects for an endowed chair of mathematics education, including the Choose Appalachian Teaching scholarship program for undergraduate students and the Advanced Teacher Capacity professional development program for high school mathematics teachers. A valedictorian of her high school, Mrs. Harmison has a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Video Production, and Management from Ohio University and has credentials with the Assemblies of God. She is currently working on a Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership through Southeastern University. Rev. Harmison brings a wealth of ministry, business acumen, and leadership to the campus having created her own businesses and having worked previously as a youth pastor, teacher, and a television broadcast technician at WOUB TV. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, cooking, writing, playing euchre, and spending time with family.

Cherish Tusing
Student Life Coordinator
Cherish loves to pastor and cultivate relationships within the student community. She is gifted in communicating and has her Bachelor of Arts in Church Leadership from Evangel University. Rev. Tusing is a credential holder with the Assemblies of God and serves as an Ohio Youth Alive missionary with her husband.
Luke Richmond
Operations and Marketing
Luke is an administrator with an eye for the details and a heart for relationships. Luke is a graduate of Wright State University and holds a Certificate from the James Dobson School of Marriage and Family. Luke spent years working for True Relationships, a Christian counseling organization, as an administrator and intern counselor. He also served as the young adult director of Newspring Church in Springboro OH. He is married to his wife Gigi Richmond and enjoys being creative through playing music, storytelling for his friends in tabletop games. He is also known for occasionally making YouTube videos, vlogging, or reviewing various products and guitar gear.

Chuck Hedges, MDiv

Chuck Hedges has thirty-eight years of diverse ministry experience in pastoral, church planting and undergraduate teaching. He has a proven ability to train, coach and mentor as he cultivates positive and enduring relationships.
Matt Fink, MA
Theology & Ministry Professor
Matt Fink is an ordained minister who currently serves as Children’s/Assistant pastor at New Life Fellowship Assemblies of God, Dayton. In addition, Matt teaches Bible and coaches Cross Country and Track at a Christian high school. He holds a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries from Central Bible College and an M.A. in Theological Studies from Liberty University.
He and his wife Tami have two young sons, Samuel and Ezra.
Ashley Higgins, MA
Theology & Ministry Professor
Ashley Higgins has a B.A. from the University of Colorado and has a Master of Arts from Southwestern University. She has worked for the U.S. Army, Rescue Missions, and has worked with a number of churches.
Joe Le-Mon, MDiv
Practical Theology Professor
Joe Le-Mon is a graduate of Southeastern University and has an M.Div from Regent University. He is a pastor, poet and spoken word artist.
Ellen Janzen, Ph.D
History Professor
Dr. Janzen holds a Ph.D in History from the University of Minnesota. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the Ohio State University summa cum laude as a Presidential Scholar. Prior to teaching for SEU Ohio, Dr. Janzen taught at Carleton College in Minnesota as a visiting assistant professor of history, and she is an accomplished researcher. Her dissertation is entitled “Is This a Real Neighborhood?”: Universities, Urban Development, and Neighborhood Change in the Twentieth Century US.
Kevin Hoffman, D.Min
Theology & Pastoral Counseling
Kevin Hoffman is the President of Three Oaks Center, Inc. A counseling and early intervention center for individuals, families, churches and schools. He is also a congregational care pastor at Vineyard Church in Dayton, OH. Dr. Hoffman has a Bachelor of Arts from Open Bible College, a M.Div from Christian Outreach School of Ministries, and an Doctorate of Ministry from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
Tonya Forsythe, MS
Communication Professor
Tonya Forsythe holds a Master of Science in Communication, Journalism from Ohio University where she was named an E.W. Scripps School of Journalism Outstanding Master’s Student. In addition to teaching at SEU Ohio, Ms. Forsythe also teaches for Ohio State University, Ohio Christian University, and Columbus State Community College. She has owned her own freelance publication business and was the managing editor of Ohio’s Country Journal. Ms. Forsythe is active in her church and serves as a sports coach and volunteer in FFA and 4-H.
David Gross, MA
Theology & Ministry Professor
David Gross is the Lead Pastor, Radiant Life Church, Dublin. He has his B.A. in Bible from Central Bible College, M.A. in English Bible from AGTS, and M. Div. from AGTS. David also formerly served as an Ohio Ministry Network General Presbyter.
Luci Howard, MEd
Science & Mathematics Professor
Luci Howard holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Education from Western Governors University. She currently teaches mathematics at London High School.
Dr. Ron Iden
Business Professor
Ron is a 30-year business management veteran and has helped lead both large and small companies in his tenure. Ron is now semi-retired from the corrugated packaging industry with a current focus on the academic field. Ron holds a Doctorate of Business Administration through Walden University, an MBA with Regis University, and a BBA with Mount Vernon Nazarene University. As a scholar-practitioner, Ron now integrates new information with practical experience to educate the leaders of tomorrow.
Dr. Deedra Shilliday
Psychology & Ministry Professor
Dr. Deedra Shilliday has a B.S. in Education from Malone University and taught in public schools before being called to ministry. She has a M.A. in Pastoral Counseling from Grace University and a M.A. in Practical Theology from Ashland Theological Seminary, which equipped her for various pastoral roles such as Leadership Development, Missions, and Christian Education. In addition to pastoring, she was an assistant psychology professor at Trinity Bible College and an adjunct professor at Ashland University.
Deedra was the first female to receive a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southeastern University. Along with serving as a doctoral mentor for SEU and leading her own non-profit organization, she teaches as much as she can at SEU Ohio because she values the community and integration of learning and praxis. Her research interests include the Integration of Psychology and Spiritual Formation as well as Women in Early Church History.
Dr. Shane Johnson

Dr. Shane Johnson has a history of engaging students in the classroom.
A graduate of Southeastern University and Ashland Theological Seminary, Dr. Johnson is a Doctoral Advisor, Doctoral mentor and teaches a variety of classes. Students love him.
Dr. David Welle
Theology & Ministry Professor
David Welle, D. Min., presently serves as Pastor for Teaching and Global Impact at Calvary Assembly of God in Willoughby Hills, OH after serving over 18 years as the church’s lead pastor. He is also a Regional Executive Presbyter for the Ohio Ministry Network. Prior to serving at Calvary Assembly he was Lead Pastor of churches in New Jersey and New York State. He is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry) and Vassar College (AB). He and his wife Patricia have three children, Cristin, Jonathan, and Elissa as well as 2 grandsons.
Pastor David loves teaching the Bible and practical theology, which he does in the church and as a professor at Pan Africa Theological Seminary in Lome, Togo, and at the University of Valley Forge, HarvestNet Institute and the Ohio School of Ministry. He has also taught for Malone Graduate School of Theology, Central Bible College and Metropolitan Bible Institute. He enjoys living life to the full by savoring time with his family, running with his dogs, playing guitar, taking nature photographs, skiing, and experiencing the great outdoors.
